I'll try with most of the questions and refer you to The American Cancer Society web page for the other, okay? There is no age exempt from this cancer but I would say toddlers would be the rarest.Yes, older persons would be more prone to it simply by more exposure to the risk factors. Teens however, with their attitude of invincibility are at high risk because they tend to ignore the warnings about tanning and skin cancer. The number one thing leading to this cancer has to be exposure to the sun and as far as when does it become serious? This one is a "no-brainer" for certain ? the day it occurs! -there is NO "un-serious" skin cancer or any other cancer for that matter. As for the warning signs, go to the web page I mentioned. The list is long and requires a lot of typing and I feel a bit lazy this morn (my poor, aching two typing fingers!)I hope you are merely curious and if you are not, and think you have something to be concerned about, let me drop all pretense of jocularity and advise you to get yourself to your doctor asap.
